Ebony’s Funeral Venue Moved To State House Forecourt. The venue for the funeral of dancehall music star Ebony has been moved from the Independence Square to the forecourt of the State House, Vibelens has gathered from a family source.

The date of the burial, which was announced as 17th March initially has also been changed to Saturday, March 24, 2018. According to the family, the Independence Square has been booked by the women religious group, Aglow International.

The late Ebony, known in private life as Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng died in a fatal car crash alongside her personal assistant and alleged bodyguard on the Sunyani-Kumasi highway last month.

There have been several calls from her fans and some prominent Ghanaians for her funeral to be held at a big venue due to the lack of space and the near-stampede that ensued at her one-week memorial at the St Martin De Porres school in Dansoman.

Her personal assistant, Franky Kuri, has since been laid to rest while the bodyguard, Atsu Von Dee is also yet to be buried.
