The annual Black Entertainment Television (BET) awards nominees for Best International Act have been released and it’s a sad ‘distin’ that our own Patapaa could not even make it to the list.
Yes, you read it right, the legendary ‘one corner’ hitmaker did not make it to the nominees for Best International Act but that’s not the only surprising fact, no single Ghanaian artiste was nominated.
On previous occasions, we had the likes of Sarkodie and Stonebwoy representing the West African country but this year, the list was dominated by Nigerians once more. In previous years, BET usually separates their international categories into Best African Act and Best UK Act but this year, they seem to have merged the two categories into one and it’s now Best International Act.
Here’s the full list of nominees for BET Awards Best International Act
Tiwa Savage (Nigeria)
Casper Nyovest (South Africa)
Distruction Boyz (South Africa)
Fally Ipupa (DRC)
