It appears Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale will be joining the political train very soon.
The “Freedom” hitmaker has revealed his intentions of quitting music to become a politician in the near future. The dancehall artiste was on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz Fm with Andy Dosty when he mentioned that Ghanaians will one day wake up and see him without his dreadlocks and become a member of parliament.
According to Shatta Wale, he feels he needs to help his constituency hence his decision to quit music in the near future and contest for a parliamentary sit so that he could help the youth in Ghana.
The ‘Gringo‘ hit maker said the reason he likes making friends with influential people in society is because he wants to be a better person in the future. He also added that if his English is not good enough, he will employ the services of Andy Dosty to speak on his behalf should he become a member of parliament.
The Zylofon Media signed act has had an incredible journey in the music industry so far and the process of development for him hasn’t been that rosy with challenges here and there. The Dancehall artiste revealed that Nigerian artiste, Olamide is the only musician he featured on his album, ‘The Reign’ which is set to be released soon.
