Actress and TV personality, Nana Ama Mc Brown has disclosed that popular Kumasi based movie industry is on its last legs. The versatile actress said Kumawood, as its famously known, is on the verge of collapsing.
“Those days, I could I could have as many as four different scripts in a month, but it’s not like that anymore”, she told Andy Dosty on Hitz FM.
News on Kumawood struggling has been flying around a lot quite recently with other notable actors in the industry like Kwaku Manu and Agya Koo lamenting about the less support they receive from the government.
Nana Ama admitted that they have to come up with innovative ideas if they are to sustain the industry since the sales of CDs are no more a thing.
She added, “Those days, I could I could have as many as four different scripts in a month, but it’s not like that anymore.” Nana Ama McBrown has recently starred in the movie “Side Chic Gang” alongside Lydia Forson and Adjetey Annang.
