Things To Draw When bored. Sometimes there are times when it looks like the time has just stopped and things are beginning to move slowly. Sometimes if you are a student, you can be in class and a long boring class or lectures seems not to come to an end. When at the workplace and all needed to be done is done, nothing else to do, it is just as boring as the cemetery. When this happens, all you have to do is get yourself a book or sheet of paper and starting drawing these five things.
Draw Your Favorite Pet.
Pets are fun to be with. Especially at the moment when you are at home and you feel alone, you can relate with your pet and play with this. You can start drawing your pet when you are are feeling bored. This can make you happy and occupy that long space making the world bored for you.
Draw Your Favorite Fruit.
One way or the other, there might be a particular fruit you love eating. Just get your pencil or pen and start sketching that fruit on paper. By the time you will realize, you are fine. Just get busy with this act. It is cool.
Just Draw Anything.
At times, even when you are bored and then decided to draw something, nothing will come in the mind. Yes, it can be very frustrating and annoying, when you are bored and you just do not know what to do. Draw anything. Even if it is painting your sheet to get an image drawn, do it. Just get occupied.
Draw A Car
Interesting enough. We all have a car we would want to own some day. You can draw that type of car or better still if you have your own car, you can put it on paper. It is a fun thing to do. You will end up laughing at yourself. It is there and then that you will get to know if you are good with drawing. Use this to have fun and kill the boring life.
Draw The Eye

Now this pertains to only students who are heaved under the pressure of an eternal lecture. Spice things up and draw the professor himself/herself and mark the date and time. Making memories I would say.
Butter-(up)-fly your Time
Two cute wings and an equally cute little body jammed in between and you have your butterfly. If you’ve done this like umpteen times aim for a perfect rose. If you think these are elementary, look high and aim further.

When creativity and time are yours to hold, ‘beyond boundaries’ should be your motto. Fill up your boredom with your kingdom that can be anything between ideal and lecture/bore-free.
Trace a Human Portrait
Before you swoon over this pretty lady in sketch let me state my remedy. While you have time to kill and boredom breathing hard upon your neck, sketch up a no-one you’ve never seen or a someone you would some good day like to meet. Forgive yourself if your portrait resemble an Angelina Jolie or a Tom Cruise.
When you are done drawing actual village still lives and that tiny, cute butterfly and still have a good stretch of time go ahead, pick a random book and redraw a picture from it. If there is a textbook you don’t wish to dream about, go grab it and sketch random pictures from it. This could be a very deep gesture of making friends with the textbook!
Scribble your way Across
Well I guess one could safely state this is one of the most elementary of boredom drawings and the most practised too. How great does it feel to just live your way without any planning; to live in the moment? I have always felt this is what scribbling also imply in an extended metaphorical sense. No planning, no directions, just random lines that meet and intersect. Definitely a favourite!
When boredom almost kills you, kill it back with abstract drawings that can range from wildly abstract- in a way that it looks like a classic piece of modern art- to beginner arts as is shown in the picture adhered to this point. The fact that you could make a cute cupcake out of an oval shape reinstates that abstract is art.
We love shades- on dresses, jewellery, artefacts and what not. So bring it out on paper as well. Try a variety of drawings and shade them out. It could vary from mere shapes to a simple tea cup and much more. Just remember though, we love shades.
If you wish to flaunt your narcisstic side chose your name. If you wish to be modest, choose something that’s your favourite be it a film, person or thing. Draw and display them in 3D style so that the effect is drawn in- full and perfect.
Don’t break the Cupid Tradition
This indeed is a big fat boredom sketch tradition and it would be a sin to break it. Chuck in your loved ones name and make the Cupid arrow perfect and the boredom null.
Never forget Mother Nature
This picture is bound to bring back a million school days’ memory to each one of us. Draw out an environmental theme like air pollution, melting of the ice, deforestation etc. There are really awesome theme drawings on Earth and if you are a nature person, look up some of these awesome drawings and dub your own.
Boredom and Batman
While all the females would now be counting x number of names of their boy classmates who did this all through school and probably college, a couple of the same guys would be meeting my words with a sly smile. Batman or any other superhero, they definitely came out of the big screen to fill our paper and boredom.

Would not a little art and craft on your hand be a deconstruction of the pen-paper-pencil tradition? Plus, it will also inspire you for your days’ shower!
Sketch your Calligraphy
Be it your favourite T.V. series, film actor’s name, your favourite restaurant, place or person, when adorned in calligraphy it a sight to look at and love.

Who wouldn’t want to kill your boredom with a little jest? Make your own little comic strips narrating your life crisis of excessive boredom or if it is a tiring lecture, sketch a general comic about the whole episode.

If you were wondering when I was going to reveal my no.17 inspirer, I have more for you. A classmate and a close friend of mine, Arun, is an ace at nudging boredom in our class. I managed to steal (not really but let’s go with that assumption) some of his class arts and I have them here for you. I prefer to call it ” The Arun Gallery”.
