The James Bond franchise, which captivated us all decades ago is still popular among some people. The lead character, James Bond is a fictional character created by the British journalist and novelist Ian Fleming in 1952.

The character appeared in a series of twelve novels and two short story collections written by Fleming and a number of continuation novels and spin-off works after Fleming’s death in 1964.

Several actors have played the role in the past; David Niven, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig.

Idris Elba has been widely speculated to take up the role in the next edition but the Beasts of No Nation star said he won’t be playing the next James Bond, putting rumours to bed finally.

Good Morning Britain‘s Divya Kohli caught up with Elba as he walked the yellow carpet for the premiere of his directorial debut, ‘Yardie’.
